Medical System Assembler 

Job description

We are looking for a skilled Assembler to build mobile, medical response systems, and products. You will use your hands or machines to do the job with great accuracy and precision. You must have good, technical knowledge and possess great manual dexterity. The ability to read instructions represented in manuals, drawings, schematics, etc., and follow them with precision is extremely important. The goal is to produce complex medical systems and products by putting together smaller components. You will also have the option to join replenishment teams that travel throughout the United States restocking medical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble medical systems and products
  • Carry out basic quality assurance procedures
  • Use ERP system for production schedules and assembly instructions
  • Input part and production data into the ERP system
  • Receive and inspect parts
  • Select or modify components according to measurements and specifications
  • Package and ship finished goods
  • Follow verbal and written instructions
  • Report on improvement ideas, issues, or defective parts
  • Help throughout the shop when needed

Skills

  • Be able to touch type (or willing to learn)
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and physical condition
  • Good understanding of quality control principles
  • Good understanding of basic math and Microsoft Excel
  • Good at learning business and manufacturing software systems
  • Able to read and follow standard operating procedures, assembly instructions, and drawings
  • Skilled in basic tools (ruler, hammer, drill, skill saw, etc.)
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent common sense and logical thought process
  • Able to work standing up for long periods of time
  • Physically able to easily lift, carry and move up to 50lbs
  • High school diploma/GED

Desired Experience

  • Experience with emergency medical products (hospital central supply or medical technician, medic, corpsman, paramedic, nurse etc.)
  • Previous construction, mechanical or production work
