The Memory-Loc™ Temperature Monitoring & Data Logger Kit (TM-6440) is a data logging thermometer that locks over 1 million temperature observations (good for 21 CFR 11 environments). This calibrated logger has user-defined time intervals (1-minute to 24-hours), downloads data to any USB stick, and meets current CDC requirements making it ideal for monitoring temperatures while storing/transporting vaccines or other important samples. The data logging feature logs 1,051,200 data points and then logs no more (although monitor will still display data). Base unit, probe, certificate, flip-open stand, wall mounting, Velcro®, magnetic strips, batteries, and universal adapter included.

Technology & Features

tech1 TM-6440 magnifying
tech2 TM-6430-40

Meets current CDC requirements for vaccine storage and monitoring (CDC Toolkit – January 2018).

Data is transferred from thermometer to computer using any USB flash drive. No software needed.

Probe bottle (filled with nontoxic GRAS glycol) insulates sensor from momentary temperature changes.

Additional Features

  • Ten-foot micro-cable permits refrigerator doors to close on it.
  • Great for 21 CFR 11 environments to lock raw data and prevent clearing/changing on base unit.
  • Smart-Alarm™ features a visual/audible alarm that continues to alarm even if the unit returns to non-alarm conditions.
  • Hassle-free retrieval of data – unit can remain in use while downloading and analyzing data.
  • Status indicators – Low battery, memory full, USB data transfer and active alarm state.
  • User-defined data logging interval of one observation/minute to one observation/24 hours.
  • High-accuracy of ±0.25°C with a resolution of 0.01.
  • Multi-point calibration on an individually-numbered certificate assures accuracy.

Data Logger Specific FAQ

Excursion-Trac™ devices have a rolling memory structure that stores the most recent 525,600 temperature observations (it will over-write data). Memory-Loc™ devices have a permanent memory structure that stores 1,051,200 temperature observations (it will NOT over-write data and cannot be cleared when full).
The unit must be plugged in with the power cord to download data. If it still doesn’t work, try another flash drive.
Plug the base unit in using the AC adaptor. Insert USB stick/flash drive into unit’s USB port. Wait one minute. Remove USB stick/flash drive. (the data will be available in a .CSV file on the USB stick/flash drive)
No. Downloadable data (if applicable) is saved under a .CSV format and can be opened in any table structured program (such as Excel).
Slide the MEM VIEW switch to the ON position and press the ADVANCE button.
The TM-6430/1 is indefinitely. When set at a 1-minute interval, it will start to over-write old data after 1 year (but log data indefinitely). The TM-6440/1 is 2 years when set at a 1-minute interval. Increasing the interval will provide longer a longer data life.
Alarm tracking feature stores in memory each alarm event detailing when the alarm state occurred, as well as when the unit returned back to within range. Alarm state indicators include visual LEDs, audio alerts, and flashing LCD segments. Data for up to 10 different alarm events can be retrieved with the most current event viewable on the display.
Slide the MEM VIEW switch to the ON position and press the CLEAR SILENCE ALM button.
Yes the probes are calibrated to a specific port.
No. Each probe is calibrated to a specific device and port. Probes have stickers identifying the serial number of the device it is calibrated to, as well as the port it is calibrated to.
Yes
When a report is downloaded to the USB stick and then open in excel to be read and saved it will have an ID# at the top. This ID number is specific to the unit it was downloaded from. Viewing Unique Device ID Number: 1. Slide the MEM VIEW switch to the ON position. 2. Press the EVENT DISPLAY button. The second and third lines will display the first eight digits of the ID number. 3. Press the EVENT DISPLAY button a second time. The second and third lines will display the last eight digits of the ID number. 4. Press the EVENT DISPLAY button to return to the default display.

Digital Data Logger
How close to being correct it is. The CDC recommends digital data loggers have an accuracy of +/-.5° C (+/-1° F) or better.
Documentation of a multi-point calibration done on a corresponding unit. Assures accuracy from a ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (1750.01) calibration laboratory accredited by A2LA. It has traceability measurements to the SI units through NIST or other recognized national measurement institutes (NMI) that are signatories to the CIPM Mutual Recognition Agreement.

Visual and audible indicators which signal continuously until acknowledged, even if the parameter returns to the non-alarm range.
If the temperature of the environment is within the thermometers’ or hygrometers’ measuring range, this error will occur if the probe is disconnected or damaged.
Check the batteries, they may need replacing. If still receiving errors after battery replacement, remove the batteries, press all the buttons-one at a time, and put the batteries back in.
